This, as you all know, is the Lord's Prayer; but do you know what it means?
To me, it starts by saying that God is our father in heaven and we are his children. It then moves on to say that the Earth will become like God's kingdom by us doing what he wants us to do, or following his will. The prayer says that God will give us what he thinks we need, which may not be what we think we need, and God forgives us our sins, if we ask him to, but we have to try not to repeat that sin. To deliver us from evil means to ask for protection and guidance as we journey through life.
You may be wondering how this affects me as a person. Well, I try to fulfill God's will in my daily life, but when I don't, I know to ask God to forgive my sins. God has more than provided me with my daily bread or my needs. God has been so good to me in many ways. F or example, he gave me a family that loves me, and caring friends. I live in a nice house, and always have plenty to eat. God has also allowed me to have things that other people don't have.
I'm working on getting a good education, and I am healthy which allows me to play sports. I also have my own phone!!! These are important things to me, and I'm thankful to have them.
I know that God is with me when I am having a bad day, and I believe God makes me feel better. Sometimes I wake up pretty grumpy, but as I go through the day, I gradually start to feel better. I think this is God at work in my life. My parents brought me to Calvary and had me attend Sunday School and Bible school to learn about God and Jesus, and what it means to be a Christian. Through my confirmation classes, I've learned even more about how God wants us to act as Christians. I'd like to try and be a good Christian because God has been so good to me.
