YOUTH GROUP
Through youth group, our high schoolers develop lasting friendships with teens from 7 different high schools in 4 different counties. Youth Group happens whenever a group of high schoolers get together. It's not a formal club, and it's open to any youth in grades 9-12, at any time. Although many of their relationships are formed during Sunday School, youth group also provides our high schoolers with many activities for Christian fellowship, fun and service.
Youth Group's purpose is manifold: to have fun, to grow in Christ, and to develop a strong foundation for clean living and resisting temptations that plague our schools and young adults. At Youth Group functions, they build relationships with each other and learn that they are never alone. Activities include ice skating and tubing events, lock-ins, community service projects, Race for the Cure and retreats.
Teens from the youth group also bring forward the offering each Sunday during the Contemporary Worship. With approximately 30 high schoolers attending Sunday School each week and grateful parents because their kids actually want to get out of bed and come, Miss Kelley and Miss Debbie are a much treasured asset in our church.
